If you’re not home:

Tracked parcels (Royal Mail): You’ll usually receive a delivery update or card with instructions to either rearrange delivery or collect from your local depot.

PIN code deliveries: You’ll receive a unique PIN by email or SMS. You’ll need this to release your parcel, so make sure your contact details are correct. If you can’t be home, you can often reschedule delivery with the carrier.
